We visit globally renowned companies and startups guided by experts and specialists who tell us about their success strategies, we also visit Stanford University, the most important cultural neighborhoods in the city, the Miurwood forest -one of the places that are home to the tallest trees in the world- the Alcatraz Jail and the Museum of Computing and we also attend sporting events such as baseball, football or basketball.
We visit one of the most sustainable cities in the world to learn about the practices promoted by the government, private initiative, NGOs and its inhabitants. We visited the Chautaqua, National Preserve, the National Center for Atmospheric Research, the Science Museum, the Art Museum, the University of Boulder, the Coors Factory, the Denver Capitol, the Rocky Mountain National Park and attended fun classes of ski.
A themed route totally focused on appreciating and learning about the architecture and design embodied in these two iconic Canadian cities. We take an architectural tour to Notre Dame Basilica, Saint Joseph's Oratory, Old Montreal and Mount Royal, Montreal Biodome, Jean-Drapeau Park, Olympic Park, McGill University, Montreal University. We include a vineyard tour and a food tour.
We make a very original tour with expert guides in the archaeological zone of Teotihuacán, who teach about the culture and traditions of the Teotihuacanos through ancestral rituals. We also do a bike tour through the center of Mexico City and visit the main museums of the city -the Chapultepec Castle and the Anthropology and History Museum- and at the end we enjoy free time in the beautiful historic center of the city.
This route has a great diversity of cultural activities, such as visiting the Petrified Waterfall of Hierve el Agua, touring the center of Oaxaca, visiting an alebrije workshop and doing a fun rally to learn about some of the traditions of the region (we learn about bartering, we see how they make cocoa-based products and wear typical costumes), we also visit the archaeological zone of Monte Albán and end the trip visiting the historic center of Puebla and its beautiful churches, in addition to tasting delicious food throughout the tour.
I loved the trip, it was a first class academic and tourist experience. Ruta México planned activities and visits related to our academic agenda, this gave our students an extra because they had experiences complementing their theoretical classes. Ruta México has a highly trained team, their logistics are exemplary, but above all they have the best attitude and are always responsible for our well-being; it was a wonderful experience.
I recommend the extramural programs of Ruta México, because it gives students the opportunity to get to know other countries, other cultures and especially other companies and I think the most important part is that they get to know the people who work outside of Mexico and that they know how we got these positions…so it’s a great opportunity for them to expand their objectives and to know and understand how global companies work.
Leaving your country is opening up to the world, at MCGill University I had an extraordinary class and I think that approach they have towards students was unique...I had never seen it.
I liked all the activities and talks very much, in general this trip was really fun and I learned a lot.
